Our Major Fundraising Events

Big Brothes Big Sisters of Central Iowa is a donor and volunteer supported organization. All of our programs offered to children and their families are donor funded. The support and guidance for each mentoring match is paid for in part by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa's three major annual fundraising events.

Bowl for Kids' Sake—February 18, 19; March 4-6

Hy-Vee Kids Fishing Derby—May 

One fish, two fish, red fish—you fish! Every year more than 30,000 people attend this completely free event sponsored by Hy-Vee. More than 200 volunteers are needed to help make this event a success.
